MacBook Startup or Power issue Repair

McKinney, TX MacBook Startup or Power issue Repair

Are you experiencing startup issues on your MacBook, and it looks like it is not turning on? Are you having trouble getting your MacBook turned on? Is your MacBook stuck on progress bar, loading sign, or is your device just stuck on an apple logo? Did you try to turn on your MacBook today, and you see a folder with a question mark sign, and as many times as you try to reboot your device you are still not able to get past that? We know that you could encounter some unexpected issues with your MacBook, and sometimes they don’t tend to start up as expected.

MacBooks does come up with power issues and startup issues of various type. MacBook not starting at all or as expected is a common issue and that could be caused by various reasons:

  • If your MacBook has a battery issue.
  • If there is a power issue on your MacBook usually because of a power surge.
  • Unresponsive application affecting the MacBook software could affect the start up.
  • Corrupted system software files could cause your device to not boot up to the desktop.
  • Your display might be dead, although your device being turned on, you couldn’t see anything not he screen

The issue might be either a software or hardware issue. Sometimes software getting corrupted might lead your MacBook to not boot up properly, and you might need to completely reinstall the operating system to get your device back to life. However, sometimes the issue might be hardware malfunction leading to startup issues on your MacBook.

Common reasons as to why your MacBook is not starting as expected could be a bad battery, damaged hard drive or a solid state drive, software corruption, or an issue on your logic board. Mostly the hardware issue comes from a physical damage on the device, or a liquid spill or an electrical issue causing the logic board to act up. If you find any issues on your MacBook, as in it is not starting as expected or not booting up to the desktop, first we recommend you to run the apple diagnostics also known as Apple Hardware Test (AHT), you can refer to this link for more detailed step on how to perform diagnostics on your MacBook.

Few extra steps to fix your MacBook startup or power issues:

  • Make sure your device is powering on by checking the status of power. Do you hear your MacBooks fan is running? If it is running but it gets stuck on apple logo- it could most likely be the software being corrupted, hard disk having issues or your battery running bad.
  • If your MacBook starts but you can’t use the device, make sure where it get stuck. Are you getting stuck on apple logo, is there a prohibitory sign (no-entry sign), is there a folder with question mark folder or is it just a blank screen? Figuring this out will take you closer to the issue and possibly fix it.
  • Do you see a completely black screen? Try to press the caps lock key to see if it lights up, if it does, it means that your device is on.
  • If your macbook device is not turning on at all, you can run a power cycle. For this step, unplug all the components attached to the device (if there is any) and press on power button and hold it for 10 seconds, then release the hold to press it once. You can also try this by taking the battery off and plugging it back on for your MacBook, but be very careful if you are releasing your battery as you may make the issue even worse.
  • Try to go to the recovery mode, and repair your start up drive, and while you’re at it, check the free space on your drive. If your drive is almost completely full - it can give your issues for starting up.

That should give a slight clue on what is wrong with the device, and then if you have more questions or want to run deeper diagnostics or fix your MacBook, you can contact ifixhut for more information. We have professionals that help you with all the issues that might come in your MacBook.
